Tree Pruning and Tree Health Care in Mortdale

Correct pruning keeps trees healthy, safe and looking their best. At Green Vanguard, we prune in line with Australian Standard AS 4373 (Pruning of Amenity Trees), removing deadwood, crossing and overhanging branches while protecting the long-term health of each tree. Mortdale is in the St George area, where mature backyard trees on established blocks often grow close to homes, garages and neighbouring fences. We’re based in nearby Lugarno, so Mortdale is well within reach of our team.

Why Pruning Matters for Mortdale Trees

Deadwood Removal

Crown Lifting & Thinning

Clearance Pruning

Regular pruning removes dead and weak limbs before they fall, lets more light into your garden, lifts canopies away from roofs, gutters and driveways, and encourages strong, balanced growth. Poor cuts or lopping can cause lasting damage, which is why pruning is best left to a qualified arborist. For Mortdale properties, we pay particular attention to trees growing close to homes and fences.

Our Pruning Process

At Green Vanguard, every pruning job follows a careful process:

01

Tree Inspection

We look at the tree’s health, structure and surroundings and agree on exactly what needs to be pruned and why.

02

Targeted Cuts

We make clean cuts at the branch collar, removing only what’s needed so the tree can seal its wounds and recover.

03

Clean-Up and Advice

All branches are removed or mulched, and we let you know when the tree should next be checked.
